PS Vita just got interesting: Free Vita games for PlayStation Plus Subscribers

A few months ago, I got a PlayStation Plus membership because of its instant games collection. For $50 a year, I get like a dozen free games and discounts. Now a similar instant games collection is here for the Vita. And it costs current Plus subscribers NOTHING. How awesome is that?

On the PS Vita side of things, you get six free games: Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Wipeout 2048, Mutant Blobs Attack, Jet Set Radio, and Final Fantasy Tactics. That's a pretty sweet collection. Uncharted got mediocre reviews but it's still Uncharted. Gravity Rush looks pretty solid. I've played FF Tactics before on the PSP, but I really like how adding that title made the instant games collection more well-rounded. Every mobile device needs a JRPG or a strategy game.

This brings my total number of Vita games to around eight because, thanks to Cross Buy, I already own a couple of games that give you a free Vita version when you buy the PS3 version. It's nuts! I am now super tempted to buy a PS Vita.
