Civilization V Review

Hi, my name is Vince. And I'm a Civ addict. I've been playing it since the very first Civilization game came out, plunking down hours, days, months into every Civ incarnation, all the way up to Civilization Revolution on the PS3.

All-TIME 100 Gadgets

Wow, what a lousy list. I know TIME's readers are considerably older/more business-oriented/more American than the national average here in the Philippines, but their Top 100 Gadgets list is really missing a lot. For starters, 100+ million people are wondering where the PS2 is. And there's no mention of Nintendo's Wii, DS or SNES. Not to forget the contribution of Nokia's el cheapo phones like the 5110 to the proliferation of mobile technology all over the world. I don't know about you, but I think TIME has got some explaining to do.

C! Magazine for iPad

My enthusiasm for magazines moving to the iPad has stopped dead in its tracks. Last week, I happily downloaded  C! Magazine for the iPad (free) and fired it up to see what they had to offer. Boy was I disappointed.

Attack of the Pads

We've been awash in new tablet announcements in the past few months. Now the frontrunners have finally emerged, and it looks like a giant Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Tab vs RIM PlayBook vs HP Slate smackdown. Are you ready to rumble?

Sony 3D is here

Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do. This Sony 3D TV event happened over a week ago and I'm only posting it now. So much backlog… So much work… So many things to worry about… Let's forget all that stuff right now because 3D TV is here, and it's awesome!

This is the Droid you've been looking for

Be still my heart. This, my friends, is an actual phone from Motorola. It's an Android phone called the Droid R2-D2, and it looks like R2-D2. Do I have to say more? For more info, hit the link.

What everyone is saying about the iPhone 4

In case you missed it -- and I missed it, hence the lateness of this post -- the iPhone 4 is now available on Globe from a wide variety of plans. Hooray hooray? Wait until you hear how much it costs first.

Turn your iPod Touch into an iPhone, sort of

iPhone 4 on Globe costs how much, you say? Thanks to this China-made gizmo, called the Peel 520, you can now insert your iPod into a case and magically turn it into a phone.
