My guitar rig has evolved

Recently, I had a little experiment on connecting my guitar to my laptop, and I was thrilled with the results. The other day, I dug up older guitar gear, and made my setup even more awesome.

This is my Dunlop Cry Baby wah pedal, which I bought in Hong Kong back when I was in college. I never really learned to use the thing very well, and I always meant to resurrect it and learn to play some Hendrix. Well, that day has finally arrived (the day I resurrect it, not the day I play Hendrix).

I run the guitar signal through the wah before sending it to the laptop, which is a pretty standard way of doing things. On the downside, I can't play with the order of my effects and my wah in Guitar Rig 4. The wah will always have to go first, unless I put it after all the sound processing.

As an added bonus, the Cry Baby also lets me boost the guitar signal. It sounds pretty good, even with just a little boost, much better than the clean signal, which sounded a little weak coming out of the Macbook. Guitar geek happiness.
